Why ChiroTrack Exists
Pre-chiropractic students are the most underserved population in healthcare education. Pre-med students have AMCAS, MCAT prep courses, and advisors at every university who understand the process. Pre-chiro students have none of that. Most pre-health offices cannot name a single chiropractic school, let alone advise on the philosophical differences between programs or the prerequisite variations that trip students up.
The result: students navigate the process alone. They choose schools based on brand name instead of philosophical fit. They miss prerequisites because nobody told them about community college credit restrictions. They write generic personal statements because they have never seen a strong one. They apply to one school instead of three to five. They graduate with debt they did not plan for because nobody walked them through the full cost of attendance.
Every one of these mistakes is avoidable with the right information at the right time. That is what ChiroTrack Academy provides.
About Dr. Ben
I am a chiropractor in Oakland, California. I have been in clinical practice for over 12 years. I run multiple healthcare businesses:
- The Shift Chiropractic — Holistic, trauma-informed care in Oakland with Dr. Irina Velichko.
- Oakland Accident Care — Specializing in car accident injuries and personal injury cases. I have given 200+ depositions and 50+ court testimonies as an expert witness.
- ChiroTrack Academy — This platform. Online pre-chiropractic education for students planning the chiropractic school path.
I also serve on the board of Hands for Life Lake Merritt, a nonprofit providing mobile wellness services through Urban Wellness Advocates to address Oakland's 15-year life expectancy gap between neighborhoods.
I am bilingual in Spanish and Russian. I grew up in inner city New York and brought a holistic, trauma-informed approach to my work in Oakland's diverse communities, including significant work in the Fruitvale district and the Latino community.
The 300+ Interviews
Over the past decade I have conducted more than 300 interviews with practicing chiropractors across every specialty, practice model, and philosophical orientation. Sports chiropractors, personal injury specialists, pediatric practitioners, chiropractic neurologists, researchers, educators, practice owners, and new graduates. These conversations are the foundation of everything ChiroTrack teaches.
When I tell you what chiropractic school is actually like, it is not theory. It is synthesized insight from hundreds of people who lived it. When I compare schools, it is based on what real graduates report — not marketing brochures.
The S.T.A.T.E. Methodology
ChiroTrack's curriculum is built around the S.T.A.T.E. framework — the five dimensions of a successful chiropractor:
- Scientist — Clinical competence, diagnostic reasoning, evidence literacy
- Thinker — Critical thinking, philosophical grounding, ethical reasoning
- Artist — Technique mastery, hands-on skill, patient communication
- Teacher — Patient education, community health leadership, mentorship
- Entrepreneur — Practice management, marketing, financial planning, leadership
Most chiropractic programs focus heavily on the Scientist and Artist dimensions. The students who thrive in practice are the ones who develop all five. That is what ChiroTrack prepares you for.
