Lesson Bridge for departments

One lesson at a time, or a whole term planned: each lesson connected back to practice, with every reference checked by a person.

Who it's for

You teach in a DC program and want one lesson connected back to practice (F1). Or you chair a department and want the whole term connected, on a plan (F2).

The goal it serves

Our goals for each item, in our own words. F1: One lesson connected to practice, philosophy, and verified published studies. F2: A department connects its whole term back to practice, on a plan, not ad hoc.

What you receive

  • F1: one Lesson Bridge pack: a one-page bridge for students, a slide insert, discussion prompts, an optional assignment, and a reference list checked by a person.
  • F2: ten Bridges a term, chosen with the chair and delivered on the class calendar, plus a term summary.

How it works

  1. For F2, you and we pick ten lessons for the term from your syllabi.
  2. For each lesson, the faculty member answers the Brief.
  3. Each Bridge goes through concepts, notes, and faculty approval before class.

What you give us

  • F1: the course, the lesson, your objectives word for word, what's hardest, and your own connection.
  • F2: chair time, syllabi, and the class calendar.

What we won't do

  • Include a reference nobody opened. A source that can't be checked is removed.
  • Grade or score students, or suggest anything counts toward a degree.
  • Correct a faculty member's teaching. The bridge adds; it never corrects.
