Host register and shadowing
When a student asks to shadow a chiropractor near home, you answer with a name, not a cold call.
Who it's for
You're in career services at a DC college (C3, the register itself). The same register also serves admissions placing applicants for a shadowing day (A7), the alumni office making sure alumni who said yes actually get a student (L2), and pre-health advisers placing students near campus (U4).
The goal it serves
Our goals for each item, in our own words. C3: Students can be placed with a practicing DC for a day, a week, or a preceptorship without an adviser cold-calling.
What you receive
- A private register of practicing chiropractors and alumni who said yes to hosting, with what each offers (a day, a week, a preceptorship), where, and when. You hold the list. Nothing is published.
- For each request you forward, a match proposal and the confirmation emails, drafted for your send.
- A monthly summary: placements arranged, requests still open, and who needs a reconfirmation note.
- A quarterly reconfirmation, so the register stays current.
How it works
- We set up the register and draft the host invitation in your voice. You give us the first names.
- Invitations go out from you. We confirm hosts as they reply.
- You forward a student request: region, stage, and date window, nothing more.
- We propose a match and draft both confirmations. Your approver approves or adjusts, then you send.
What you give us
- The first 30 names: an alumni yes-list, faculty contacts, your own.
- A named approver for each match.
- Requests that carry a region, a stage, and a date window only. No student names.

What we won't do
- Put hosts in order, compare them, or count them against each other. The match rule says nothing about which host is better.
- Place anyone without your approver's yes.
- Hold student records. Hosts are professionals; students appear as a request id.
- Send invitations for you, unless you ask in writing.

Fictional example. Example College of Chiropractic and every host, practice, and request on this summary are invented, built from the fictional test register. The image says so at the top.
