Module 10 turns your last stretch of school into a first year of practice you can run: the plan, the paperwork, the voice, the space, and the sentence you carry in.

Your five milestones

Each milestone is a piece of work you make and keep. Any of them can be opened first.

  1. First-Year Operating Plan

    A four-quarter plan for the first year of practice, built on honest numbers and opened by a three-minute Five-Year Vision video.

  2. Practice Setup Plan

    The legal, insurance, money and systems plan for opening: entity timeline, insurance approach, startup budget, office systems. The one-page Brand Guide is its public face.

  3. First Community Talk

    One 45-minute talk with a topic, an audience and a promise, ready by graduation, plus the plan for where you'll give it and what people take home.

  4. Practice Space Plan

    The documented decision on where you'll practice in year one: a traditional lease, a sublet, a practice purchase or a mobile plan, with the location matrix and lease terms behind it.

  5. Practice Declaration

    Your own definition of success in practice, set beside every earlier version you've written, then reduced to one dated sentence you carry into practice. A development plan and first actions back it up.
